Mahuba Barat
Mahuba is a filmmaker, screenwriter and director. She started her carrier as a stage actress in 2010. Her first short film The Empty Spaces, won the best film, best sreenplay and directing at Effect of Armed Conflict at the Children Festival in Herat in 2016. The Anklet won the best short film at Breaking the Silence Against the Crime of Child-Play Festival in Kabul in 2020. She has received various prizes for writing and directing theater and short films.
In 2017 Mahuba founded Negar, an independent theater group, that focuses on women and children rights. In addition to that Negar addresses child and forced marriages, recruitment and use of children by armed forces and groups, as well as domestic and social violence. After the Taliban came to power, Mahuba and her family had to flee to Iran where she lived illegally with her mother and sister in Mashhad. Mahuba is now a scholarship holder at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin and also lives in Berlin.

محبوبه برات
محبوبه فلم ساز، کارگردان و نمایشنامه نویس است. او کارش را به عنوان یک بازیگر تیاتر در سال 2010 آغاز کرده است. اولین فلم او "جاهای خالی" برنده ی عنوان بهترین فلم، بهترین کارگردانی و بهترین نمایش در جشنواره "تاثیر جنگ بر کودکان" در سال 2016 در هرات شد. "مچ پا" فلم دیگری او برنده بهترین فلم کوتاه در جشنواره "توقف سکوت در برابر جرم بچه بازی" در سال 2020 در کابل شد. محبوبه برعلاوه این ها، جوایز متعددی را بخاطر کارگردانی و نویسندگی تیاتر و فلم کوتاه دریافت کرده است.
محبوبه گروه نگار یک گروه تیاتر مستقل که روی حقوق زنان و کودکان تمرکز داشت، را در سال 2017 ایجاد کرد. علاوه بر این، نگار به کودکان و ازدواج های اجباری، استخدام و استفاده از کودکان توسط نیروهای مسلح و گروه ها و همچنین خشونت های خانوادگی و اجتماعی می پرداخت. بعد از به قدرت رسیدن طالبان، محبوبه و خانواده اش مجبور شدند که به ایران فرار کنند. محبوبه با مادر و خواهرش هم اکنون به صورت غیرقانونی در مشهد ایران زندگی می کنند.
